The amateur historian is like an encyclopedia of Pensacola movie facts. He fell in love with cinema at an early age, and as a child, often found himself entranced by the escapism offered by sci-fi flicks. But as an adult, Manning's movie-viewing turned toward his hometown, and in , he began collecting facts about movies filmed in or near Pensacola and those with storylines set in the city or that include on-screen mentions of Pensacola.
